Kittitas 2020 Capital Bond Improvement Program Project
We strive to have a community united to improve the quality of life for every student through the best education. Thanks to the amazing Kittitas community the $13.2 million school bond passed February 2020.

Proposed Construction
With the $13.2 million in bond funds as well as $1,863,431.93 in State Matching funds from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) the following projects were recommended.

Demolish the Old Kittitas High School and Primary Building

Replace Primary Building with new Addition to Intermediate Building

Construct a New Maintenance and Transportation Facility

New Roof for Jim Johnson Memorial Gymnasium

HVAC Improvements at Intermediate and Secondary Buildings

Safety and Security Upgrades at Secondary Building (New Secured Entry)

Renovate the District Office

Proposed Timeline
In order to show constant progress to the Kittitas community the 7 projects recommended for the school bond were grouped into 4 project phases based on the amount of work, funding, and complexity of the projects. The project groups will be completed in sequential order over the course of 2 1/2 years.
